The drug is also known as 5-methyl-ethylone, or 5-ME. This is a cathinone drug and a analogue of ethylone. The drug is suspected to be similar to other stimulants of the cathinone class, with a slightly higher potency than ethylone. The drug is possibly entactogenic and a monoamine releasing agent.
