Poppy tea can be made from poppy pods, stalks, and seeds. It contains various opium alkaloids primarily including morphine, as well as codeine and among others. There is great variation in poppy tea potency and therefore doses are indicated for opioid naive users. There are many reports of overdoses due to inconsistent, unpredicable, dosing.
